“Bang!” Sound of a firing pistol cut through the crowded hospital emergency department.
“Urgh!” The doctor with shoulder-length blond hair fell down, frowning in pain.
The black-hair doctor, who was pushed away by the blond doctor, turned around and saw blood gushing from the wound.

He rang the alarm for security, picked up the wounded doctor and rushed to find a spot in the emergency department, where panicked people were screaming and scrambling to leave…..
Two fresh interns, Girodere and Rosalie, came to help.  Rosalie eyes welled up in tears when she saw the wounded doctor.

“You guys stem the bleeding.  I’ll get the blood!”

She rushed past the officers (who were stationed at the hospital) arrived at the scene.  People were screaming and running all over the place while someone announced on the P.A. system, “This is an emergency situation!  Everyone lie down on the floor and stay put until further instructions!”
Soon, Rosalie heard sirens of police cars from afar.  More police were arriving on the scene.
Andre paged Dr. Lassone, “Professor!  It’s Andre!  Oscar has been shot!”
“Bring her to operation room #7 at once!  I’ll be there ASAP!” Dr. Lassone said over the intercom.

A plain-clothes officer who happened to be in the emergency department when the shooting occurred, came over and showed Andre his badge.
“I’m Detective Soisson.  Let me guard you and the patient to the operation room.”
Andre nodded, turned around and said swiftly, “Girodere, please page Marie and ask her to make preparations in Operation Room #7.  Rosalie, let’s bring Oscar upstairs.”

On the way to the operation theatre, Andre kept telling Oscar, “You mustn’t fall asleep!  Here me Oscar?  You’re going to be alright!”
Oscar opened her eyes briefly and replied with a faint smile, “Don’t worry, you’d saved my life before, so I’m just returning the favour.”
“Stop saying silly things.  I never did, though I won’t hesitate to save you if the occasion arise.” Andre was deeply moved.

In the cold operation theatre, Rosalie put a blanket over Oscar and continue to stem the bleeding, while Andre started to prepare himself for performing operation when Dr. Lassone arrived.
Noticing Soisson at the door, Dr. Lassone eyed him with a quesitoning glance.
“I’m Detective Soisson.” he flashed his badge once more.  “I happened to be there when the doctor was shot.”
Dr. Lassone nodded, and motioned Girodere, who just arrived with some extra supplies, to enter the operating room.  Andre, Rosalie and Marie were all ready.

With Andre’s help, Professor Lassone immediately operated on Oscar, who was just partially anesthetised.

4 hours later…

“Rosalie and Girodelle, you’ve done a good job!  Would you two and Marie please bring Oscar to a guarded room on 5th floor.  Stay by her side and page me when she wakes up.  Andre, can I have a word with you?” Dr. Lassone said as he was stepping out of the room and taking off his gloves.  He motioned Detective Soisson to follow them to his office.

“Andre, Oscar will be okay.  Fortunately the wound is relatively superficial.  The major muscles and nerves are intact.  She might need a second operation if there’s excessive scarring…so you’ll have to monitor her closely.”  Dr. Lassone ended his sentence with a grin and wink at Andre.

“Officer Soisson, I’ll leave Andre with you.” and exited the room.

Dear Barcarolle,
Bravo! I love your ROV fanfictions. The plot is so exciting!
I like the kind of relationship between Oscar and Andre. The kind of love is so sweet. ^u^

Dear Francois,

I am glad that you’re not upset at seeing another OA story. :)
Anyway, the Andre here is not the obsessive type that some die-hard fans
so adore, but a sensible guy who has his own ambitions.

And thanks so much for sharing your stories with me. For I miss them!
